KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA CELEBRATION 2025-26

Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm on November 1^st, marking the formation of Karnataka state. The occasion was a vibrant display of cultural pride, unity and devotion to the Kannada language and heritage.

• The day started with the hoisting of the National Flag and State Flag of Karnataka. Students, parents and staff joined together to sing both the National Anthem and the State Anthem, “Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate,” which set a patriotic atmosphere.
  
  
• There were speeches by the chief guest, Shri Vinay Bhat, Administrator of Vagdevi Vilas School, Bidadi, teachers and  students highlighting Karnataka’s rich culture, traditions and the significance of Kannada Rajyotsava. These speeches inspired students to value and preserve their language and heritage.
  
  
• Cultural performances formed the heart of the event. Students presented traditional dances, skits, songs, and even character portrayals of great Kannada personalities, showcasing the diverse cultural legacy of Karnataka. Children wore traditional red and yellow attire, representing the colours of Karnataka’s flag, adding vibrancy to the celebration.
  
  
• Competitions such as handwriting, collage and badge making were conducted on Karnataka’s history and culture, which encouraged students to learn more about the state.
  
  
• The celebration concluded with a sense of unity and pride as everyone collectively raised the slogan “Jai Kannada, Jai Karnataka,” and the school community reflected on their shared cultural roots.

Kannada Rajyotsava celebration in school, instilled a sense of State pride and cultural unity among students. They served as a joyful reminder of Karnataka’s glorious past and rich traditions, motivating the younger generation to cherish and contribute to their cultural heritage.
