“Environment is no one’s property to destroy; it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect.”

The World Environment Day was celebrated in Vagdevi Vilas School, Nelamangala on 10^th June 2026. The Students from Class V to X along with the teachers had planned and executed the program.

Smt. Jayashree, the Academic Advisor of the branch was the chief guest for the program. The program began with the regular morning assembly.  Principal Smt.Renugadevi and Vice Principal Shri Raghavendra Bhatt preceded the program. The students then shared their views on the importance of celebrating Environment day and putting forward different ways to reduce pollution. This was followed by a mime show performed by the students of Grade IX , based on the  theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future”. Later on all the students took oath to preserve the nature, to plant trees and to protect and care for the environment.

The Chief guest of the day inspired the students with her motivational speech, she emphasised the students to practice the four R’s ( Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle )to keep our surrounding clean and to save the environment for the future generation.

As a part of Environment day celebration students were made to plant saplings in the school premises. Many activities like Poster making, Slogan writing and Placard making competitions were conducted to make the students actively involved in expressing their ideas in preserving the environment and sustainable living for a cleaner and a greener environment.  Students actively participated in the campus Environment Rally, shouting slogans to create the awareness in the neighbourhood about the importance of protecting the environment 

The celebration was both educational and inspiring. It successfully instilled a sense of environmental responsibility among students, motivating them to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives and become active guardians of our future.
