“TALENT WINS GAMES,BUT TEAMWORK AND INTELLIGENCE WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS”

The much awaited event of the academic year for every student is surely the sports day, which commenced on 28^th of July 2025, Monday for grade I-IV. The school playground was filled with excitement and vibrant energy as primary students took part in the annual Intra-Sports Meet. The event, aimed at promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship, saw enthusiastic participation from students across all grades, cheered on by peers’ and teachers.

          The day’s events began with a traditional opening ceremony. The chief guest of the event was the dynamic administrator of Vagdevi Vilas School, Nelamangala, Shri Ranjith, who was accompanied by the eminent Principal Smt Renugadevi. They were assisted by the band group to the school playground where the event was organised. The school flag was hoisted , followed by the school anthem. The event continued with an invocation song and was followed by the march past by all the four houses, led by the sports captains, who initiated the torch light, which was passed on to the house captains. The chief guest delivered an encouraging speech on the importance of sports and teamwork. This was followed by a variety of events tailored for the younger athletes, from classic track races and relay races to creative and fun-filled games. The students gave best in a spirit of healthy competition, pushing their limits with great determination.

          The highlight of the meet was the spirited house-based games, where cheers and friendly rivalry filled the air, motivating every participant. Throughout the day, a strong sense of camaraderie and unity was evident with students displaying exemplary sportsmanship and fair play.

          The event concluded with the valedictory ceremony, which was organized on 15^th August 2025, the Independence Day. The Chief Guest of the day Smt Usha Villath , preceded the event and handed over the  medals to the winners. To the surprise of everyone, the Principal announced house wise champions for primary level as well, which stole the show. She even congratulated all the participants for their dedication and effort, emphasizing that the most important win was the experience of teamwork and the joy of participation. It was a memorable day that celebrated the talent and spirit of the school community.
